La Cuisine

I'm so sorry I have been neglecting my faithful followers. But, I have been up to something! I started another blog, just until Easter, about a cooking journey that I have embarked on for Lent. Check it out here -- I promise, you will laugh at the chronicles of my terrible cooking skills. And maybe get some good recipes in the process!

All of this cooking though has me dreaming about a perfect kitchen...

How dreamy is this shot from Lonny?

I can just see myself and my dogs hanging around while I make tarts and coq au vin all day. I think I'll start by ordering this planter from ABC Home:

SO cute right? And only $55!

And a set of these white French cafe chairs from Pottery Barn.

Also an essential: a cute apron from Anthro.

Until all this though, I'm cooking in my flannel PJs and serving food in front of the TV. Sigh.

Any recipe suggestions pour moi? I'm all ears!!

Bookworm

Oh, Anthropologie, you've stolen my heart again.

How much do you love these cool Sao Paulo bookends?

Girly but still edgy! I like.

Birthday Bow

Feeling inspired by Blair Waldorf, one of of my fashion icons, I decided to treat myself to a little early birthday present and order this little sale item from Anthropologie!

And in an effort to disguise my hideous bangs (literally the worst choice of my adult life) I plan on wearing my big bow proudly, even though I'm turning 23-- not 3.

What do you guys think about headbands? I'm a bit obsessed but am I behind the times?

The Love Lobster

O.M.G.

Pardon me if this post is brief--- I just don't have the words to describe how much I ADORE this rug from Anthropologie. I am so obsessed with it I have nicknamed it "The Love Lobster".

Basically, if I don't have it in my house I will have a nervous breakdown.

I've already gotten a cute little piggy bank for saving up for it!!

Any donations may be made to The Love Lobster Foundation, or you can just give me cash.

Have you seen these "Savannah Story Bust"s from Anthropologie??

They're pretty inexpensive and what a perfect way to dress up a drab wall or maybe add a funky something to a powder room.

I like the Zebra best! What do you guys think??

Nightie Night

I might as well let it be known that yes, I did used to wear one of these flannel masterpieces to bed occasionally until I was about 11.

Sometimes you choose comfort and toastiness over....well....pretty much anything else. These days I prefer the standard old t-shirt.

But as I was flipping through the Victoria's Secret catalog today I realized that I may be missing out on a whole word of cute and sassy PJs. Don't get me wrong: some items in the catalog are too sassy for my liking, but my bedtime wear could use a little refreshing. So I went to an old, dear friend for guidance: Anthropologie.

Here is what I found!

which makes a set with these:

Adorable, right? Almost as cute as this set:

Which I would wear under these:

Silk jams from J. Crew, of course.

And for a perfectly sound slumber:

A nice eye mask from this cool Etsy shop.

I can't wait to climb into my big comfy bed feeling chic even in my sleep.

Mmmmm. Good night!!
